Short version: Nook keeps your things on your Mac, and this site doesn't follow you around.
The app
Nook keeps everything on your Mac: your Shelf, to-dos, clipboard history, colors, and settings live in ~/Library/Application Support/Nook. It has no account and sends nothing anywhere.
Calendar events, music, and screenshots are read on your Mac to show them in the notch. Each permission is optional, and Settings › Permissions lists them all.
Passwords copied from password managers never enter the clipboard history.
This website
No analytics, no tracking cookies, no ads.
If you ask to hear when Nook 1.0 launches, your email address is kept in a list at Resend (resend.com) and used once, for that email. It is never sold or shared, and the launch email will have a link to leave the list.
The site and the download are hosted by Vercel, which keeps standard server logs to run and protect the service.
